MONTH 1 TO 4: BRAND AMBASSADOR You will work as a Customer Advisor in the store to master the UNIQLO shop‑floor standards and processes which include RFID checkout, omni‑channel services, customer service, fitting rooms, deliveries, replenishment and more. We believe that effective leadership begins with setting an example in the small yet vital tasks that create a unique customer experience while gaining the trust of your team. Alongside the on‑the‑job training, you will discuss with your COO your career aspirations, learn from successful leaders who started as a UMC, and participate in people‑management workshops. MONTH 5 TO 6: SUPERVISOR You will develop managerial responsibilities: create and adjust the daily work schedule for your store team, provide training and feedback to achieve sales and customer satisfaction. You will begin operations‑management training and take charge of inventory ordering and performance for a specific product category. Furthermore, you will engage in a stimulating business project with a mentor and have the opportunity to meet the leaders of various departments. MONTH 7 TO 12: ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER During this rotation, you will support the Store Manager in all operational aspects of the store to ensure optimal business performance. This includes creating strategic shop‑floor layouts, adjusting weekly schedules based on sales targets, developing training plans to improve efficiency and talent, performing daily audits of store presentation, and taking action to maintain the highest standards. You will also have the opportunity to visit other stores outside your country to learn from their management practices and apply those learnings to your own store. Upon completion of the programme, your skills and knowledge will be evaluated to determine if you require further development or if you are ready to become the next Store Manager of a multi‑million revenue store. Many former UMCs in Europe have utilized their experience as Store Managers to take on additional leadership roles. WHAT ARE THE REQUIREMENTS? You have the right to work on a full‑time permanent basis in the country you’ve applied for. We do not sponsor work visas. You are available to start working full time from the end of February or the end of August. You speak the local language at B2 level as a minimum if applying in Germany, Italy, Spain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands; you speak any Scandinavian language if applying for Sweden and Denmark. You hold or are about to obtain a bachelor or master degree. You are flexible to work at weekends and across various shifts. You must be able to move to different cities across the country you have applied for.
