Licensure: Current state licensure as a Physical Therapist. Certification: CPR certification is required. Additional certifications or specialization in areas such as orthopedics, neurology, or pediatrics may be preferred. Experience: Previous experience as a Physical Therapist is preferred. Technical Skills: Proficiency in conducting assessments, creating treatment plans, and implementing a variety of physical therapy techniques. Interpersonal Skills: Strong communication, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with patients and their families. Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor, adhering to ethical and confidentiality standards. Patient Education: Educate patients and their families on the treatment plan, exercises, and home care techniques to maximize their progress and independence. Progress Monitoring: Regularly evaluate and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress, goals, and any changes in their condition. Documentation: Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including initial assessments, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaboration: Work closely with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and ensure a holistic approach to rehabilitation. Pain Management: Utilize pain management techniques and modalities to reduce pain and improve patients' comfort.
