Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Fund Accountant to support the accounting and administration of commingled investment portfolios. This role is responsible for executing and maintaining key components of the Net Asset Value (NAV) production process, including transaction processing, cash management, expenses, corporate actions, capital stock activity, reconciliation, and break resolution.

The ideal candidate has mutual fund accounting or investment operations experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven financial services environment.
Responsibilities Fund Accounting & NAV Support

• Support daily NAV production and fund accounting activities
• Process and reconcile:
  • Portfolio transactions
  • Cash activity
  • Capital stock transactions
  • Corporate actions
  • Fund expenses
  • Special handling items
• Identify, investigate, and resolve accounting breaks and exceptions
• Serve as a primary contact for derivative valuation inquiries
• Verify accounting information and ensure daily deliverables are accurate and timely

Operational Support

• Manage daily production volumes while meeting quality and productivity standards
• Monitor open issues and assist with resolution efforts
• Follow up on outstanding inquiries and exceptions
• Coordinate with internal teams to resolve accounting and operational issues
• Maintain and support daily production reporting

Risk Management & Process Improvement

• Identify, escalate, and resolve discrepancies and operational risks
• Contribute to management reporting and operational metrics
• Participate in process improvement initiatives designed to increase efficiency and reduce risk
• Support automation and productivity enhancement efforts
• Gain understanding of how fund accounting activities impact broader business operations

Collaboration & Communication

• Communicate professionally with internal partners and stakeholders
• Work closely with fund accounting, operations, and client service teams
• Assist in monitoring team deadlines and deliverable requirements
• Support issue resolution through effective collaboration and communication

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Experience in:
  • Fund Accounting
  • Mutual Fund Operations
  • Investment Accounting
  • Financial Services Operations
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial transactions
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to identify, escalate, and resolve issues effectively
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to perform under pressure in a deadline-driven environment
• Willingness to work overtime when required
• Availability to work certain U.S. holidays when business needs require support

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience supporting mutual funds, investment portfolios, or fund administration operations
• Knowledge of derivatives processing and valuation concepts
• Experience with fund accounting systems and investment operations platforms
• Experience supporting NAV production and reconciliation processes
• Understanding of investment securities and portfolio accounting
• Exposure to financial reporting and operational controls
