Inventory Controller

Job Description Required Shift: Monday - Friday 8am-4:30pm (start time flexible pending business needs). Job Purpose The Inventory Control is the first point of contact for all inbound and outbound shipments. It involves assisting with setup of new Finish Good Items, maintaining quality and safety standards for incoming packaging and raw materials, and sustaining accurate inventory volumes to provide correct data for scrap tracking and material usage. This position partners with receiving technicians and warehouse leads to deliver an efficient, agile logistical operation. What are we looking for? Internal Requirements Must have met time in role (12+ months) Must have line manager approval to apply Must be in good standing in current role Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GED 2+ years of experience in an inventory controls related role Excellent computer skills with experience in Warehouse Management systems and order processing systems Working understanding of receiving and manufacturing processes Ability to work 12‑hour shifts and cover overtime Ability to understand, communicate, read, and write in English Preferred Qualifications 3+ years of shipping office experience Technical degree or bachelor’s in engineering, supply chain, or sciences Working knowledge of SAP and/or JDA (Warehouse Management System) Previous manufacturing experience Key Responsibilities Maintain site and warehouse pack and raw inventory levels Track expiration dates and work with schedulers to maintain usable materials Key user for SAP Monitor and correct issues related to SAP reports such as Inspection Cockpit, Inbound Deliver, COGI and CO54 Understand how WMS systems such as SAP, MES, JDA, SRS, and Win SAP work together Assist logistics group with issues regarding process orders, purchase orders, material set‑up and finish good creation Work with logistic partners to maintain assigned inventory volume and value per period standards Assist with other assigned logistic tasks Serve as backup warehouse lead when needed Additional responsibilities as determined by the line manager What You Can Expect from Mars The opportunity to learn, develop and take charge of your own career An industry‑competitive salary and benefits package To be respected and valued The Five Principles are at the center of every decision we make The opportunity to work cross‑functionally, adding value and impacting a better world for generations to come Compensation Base pay range at commencement: USD 32.31 - USD 44.43 per hour (IL).
