Information Technology Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled, hands-on, and solutions-oriented IT professional to support, maintain, and enhance our organization's technology infrastructure across both office and shop-floor environments. This role involves troubleshooting hardware and software issues, managing networks, supporting end-users across departments, and ensuring uptime and reliability of systems critical to production, engineering, and business operations. Cybersecurity, cross-functional collaboration, and responsiveness are key to success in this role.--- Key Responsibilities Provide responsive technical support to employees across departments, including production, engineering, and administration. Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, servers, and network devices. Support manufacturing systems such as ERP, MES, and CAD/CAM integrations. Manage network infrastructure, including switches, access points, and industrial connectivity. Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation. Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to support data collection, automation, and software connectivity initiatives. Assist with onboarding/offboarding users, managing permissions, and maintaining IT asset inventory. Maintain data backups and disaster recovery plans. Ensure compliance with IT policies and cybersecurity best practices. Collaborate with vendors and service providers for hardware/software procurement and support. Document IT procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for internal knowledge base. Required Qualifications Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. 2+ years of experience in IT support, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial setting. Proven experience in systems administration or network management. Proficiency with Windows operating systems and Microsoft 365. Familiarity with networking protocols, firewalls, and VPNs.
