Director of Maintenance

Facilities & Maintenance Manager

We're looking for a hands-on Facilities & Maintenance Manager to oversee preventive, emergency, and technical maintenance across two store locations. In this role, you'll keep equipment running smoothly, maintenance calendars on track, and both properties looking clean and well-maintained. You'll serve as the go-to contact for stores, outside vendors, and maintenance requests, while also leading and supporting a preventive maintenance technician to ensure every job gets done right and on time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee monthly and quarterly preventive maintenance calendars across both stores
• Complete equipment deep cleans, technical preventive maintenance, and repairs
• Respond to and resolve help tickets within 24 hours; serve as point of contact for stores and outside vendors
• Conduct monthly walkthroughs and document findings on the maintenance walkthrough sheet
• Track preventive maintenance completion mid-month and log repair costs/savings on the ROI sheet
• Report equipment negligence to store General Managers
• Perform weekly window washing and exterior site checks
• Supervise the preventive maintenance technician, ensuring work meets manufacturer/Pathways specs and that they have the tools and materials needed
• Communicate regularly with leadership on assignments and completed work; maintain personal records of work performed and equipment status
• Perform inspections, identify issues, and make minor to moderate technical/mechanical adjustments
• Ensure emergency repairs are completed promptly; remain available for emergency calls
• Review the QR code issue-tracking sheet daily
• Send weekly status updates to store GMs and leadership
• Coordinate parts ordering, securing budget approval before purchase
• Complete electrical audits and safety checks during non-operating hours
• Lead maintenance training/workshops for team-level staff and above
• Move heavy equipment (up to 100 lbs. with assistance); work in tight spaces, at heights above 10 ft, and in varying weather conditions

Work Experience

• 3+ years of experience in facilities, equipment/property maintenance, construction, or a related field
• Experience supporting multiple locations, managing vendors, tracking maintenance costs, and leading preventive maintenance programs preferred

Education

• No specific degree required; any combination of relevant training, education, and hands-on experience will be considered

Skills & Requirements

• Familiarity with basic hand tools and general mechanical/technical troubleshooting
• Strong organizational skills and ability to track multiple maintenance schedules and budgets
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable working independently and managing vendor relationships
• Ability to lift/move up to 100 lbs. with assistance and work at heights, in tight spaces, and in varying weather
• Valid driver's license
• Willingness to complete equipment-specific training and use maintenance-tracking software
