We are seeking a dedicated Radiology Technologist to become a vital part of our urgent care team. This role involves a combination of clinical and administrative responsibilities within our healthcare settings, adhering to established policies and procedures.

As a Radiology Technologist, you will work under the guidance of a physician, handling patient intake, following standing orders or protocols, performing venipuncture, conducting laboratory tests, and ensuring patient follow-up. You will also be responsible for administering medications—oral, intramuscular, subcutaneous, or intradermal—once you have demonstrated your competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their designee. Certified Clinical Care Specialists (CCSs) in Radiologic Technology will also perform and transmit X-ray diagnostic images. Accurate documentation in medical records is essential, as is supporting efficient patient flow.

• Adhere to our organization's Code of Conduct and Compliance plan, ensuring compliance with governmental and accreditation standards. Complete all required training, including safety, infection control, OSHA, CPR, EMR, general compliance, harassment, and service protocols. Maintain cleanliness and readiness of equipment and patient rooms, delivering care with a strong emphasis on safety and quality.
• Embrace new technologies and effectively utilize the electronic health record system. Manage patient flow through consistent communication with patients and their families, prioritizing their comfort and time. Conduct various tests and provide care in line with our practices, including spirometry/PFTs, vital signs, EKGs, vision and hearing tests, splinting, and general patient care under medical supervision. Follow up with patients regarding lab tests and clinical results professionally.
• Perform venipuncture and selected laboratory tests (point of care), initiating care pathways as per policy. Conduct X-ray procedures as directed by medical providers, forwarding images to the appropriate radiologist for review, while ensuring the maintenance of X-ray equipment and adherence to safety protocols. Foster a respectful environment for patients, families, vendors, and colleagues, maintaining professional communication.
• Deliver care that aligns with our mission, vision, and values, building patient confidence and loyalty by exceeding expectations. Act as a patient escort throughout their care journey and assist with discharge processes, ensuring clarity for patients and their families. Support new clinical and service initiatives, actively seeking ways to enhance care and patient experiences.
• Assist team members during busy periods or delays in patient processing. Understand and engage in basic computer and patient intake tasks at the front desk. Support medical providers during patient examinations, testing, and education. Under medical supervision, prepare and administer oral medications and injections (limited to intradermal, subcutaneous, and intramuscular) after demonstrating competency to the Clinical Professional Development Specialist or their designee.

• Associate degree.
• Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Experience in a medical or ambulatory health setting through an externship.
• Preferred: 2 years of experience in a medical office.
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) Certification.
• Valid Maryland, Virginia, or DC State License.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.

The compensation for this position ranges from USD $29.73 to USD $53.49 per hour.
