Position Overview

E&M, PLLC is seeking an experienced Bookkeeper with a strong background in public accounting to join our internal bookkeeping team. This is an in-office position within a growing CPA firm.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing multiple client accounts simultaneously. You must have advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online and a thorough understanding of how to prepare, maintain, and fully reconcile a complete set of books.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain bookkeeping for multiple clients across various industries
• Perform full-cycle bookkeeping, including:
• • Bank and credit card reconciliations
  • General ledger maintenance
  • Journal entries and adjusting entries
  • Accounts payable and accounts receivable processing
  • Payroll journal entries (as applicable)
• Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports
• Review and reconcile balance sheet and income statement accounts
• Ensure client books are complete, clean, and ready for tax preparation
• Collaborate with our internal team members to ensure accuracy and deadlines are met
• Maintain organized digital files and documentation in accordance with firm standards

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5+ years of bookkeeping experience in a public accounting firm
• Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Online (required)
• Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial statement preparation
• Demonstrated experience reconciling full sets of books from start to finish
• Experience handling multiple clients simultaneously in a deadline-driven environment
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
