Overview
Registered Nurse – Tele, travel assignment in Olathe, KS, United States. Start date 08/02/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,035–$2,129 per week. Shift: 3x12 Nights. Setting: Telemetry/Medical-Surgical in a short-term acute care setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in Telemetry/Med-Surg units, including postoperative and general medical cases with emphasis on General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecologic, Urology, and Orthopedic paths.
- Monitor patient status, vital signs, and telemetry rhythms; administer medications and therapies such as heparin drips, TPN, and PCAs; document responses and adjust care plans as needed.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement plans of care, coordinate with physicians, and support discharge planning and patient education.
- Document in the electronic medical record (EPIC) and ensure adherence to safety, infection control, and quality standards; respond to changes in patient conditions promptly.
- May float to all acute care units as needed; participate in handoffs and communications with the care team and families.

Requirements
- Active RN license in Kansas or a Compact RN license
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent Med/Surg experience in a hospital setting within the last 18 months
- Experience in General Surgery, Bariatric, Gynecological, Urology, and Orthopedics; familiarity with diagnoses such as cellulitis, back pain, and kidney stones
- Experience with Heparin Drips, TPN, PCAs; ability to measure and interpret telemetry rhythms
- Ability to work in Telemetry/Med-Surg within a short-term acute care setting; willingness to float to all acute care units as needed
