Strip, route, crimp, splice, terminate, and inspect electrical wiring for control panels, wire harnesses, and low-voltage electrical assemblies.
Build wire harnesses and low-voltage electrical panels for custom equipment builds.
Read and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions to determine component placement, connection points, wire routing, and system requirements.
Use digital multimeters and other test equipment to perform continuity testing, identify wiring issues, isolate faults, and verify completed work.
Support soldering tasks, including circuit-board and wiring-related soldering, as part of production and repair activities.
Assist with production testing, including functional and continuity tests, and support software testing and preparation for final inspection.
Use hand and power tools, including wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, screwdrivers, drills, pliers, and related tools, for drilling, tapping, fastening, installation, modification, and equipment assembly.
Collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve nonstandard build issues and support custom system requirements.
Adjust daily priorities and assignments as production schedules and custom system configurations change, maintaining flexibility and responsiveness to shifting demands.
Maintain safe, accurate, and organized work practices, including proper tool use, material handling, and documentation of work performed.
Follow written and verbal instructions, work increasingly independently after training, and complete tasks with minimal rework.
Participate in site onboarding, safety, OSHA-related, forklift, soldering, and product-specific training and apply learned skills to daily work.
Support occasional overtime as needed to meet production deadlines and shipment schedules.
Contribute to a collaborative, quality-focused production culture by communicating proactively, sharing information, and supporting team members during urgent production periods.
Essential Skills
Recent hands-on experience stripping, routing, crimping, splicing, and terminating electrical wire, preferably 1+ year, with the ability to complete secure, clean, and accurate connections independently.
Ability to build wire harnesses and low-voltage electrical panels for custom equipment.
Proficiency using a digital multimeter to perform continuity tests, identify wiring issues, isolate faults, and verify completed work, with 1+ year of electrical testing or field troubleshooting experience preferred.
Ability to read and apply electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical drawings during assembly and troubleshooting, including for nonstandard builds.
Comfort and proficiency using hand and power tools such as wire strippers, cutters, crimpers, screwdrivers, drills, pliers, and related electrical and mechanical tools, with 1+ year of experience in electrical, field service, manufacturing, telecommunications, or technical assembly preferred.
Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in electromechanical assembly, including working with components such as mechanical, hydraulic, or pneumatic elements.
Demonstrated reliability, including dependable attendance, punctuality, and a strong work ethic.
Adaptability and willingness to adjust to changing priorities, custom configurations, and varying daily assignments in a custom-build environment.
Curiosity and willingness to learn unfamiliar equipment, processes, and technologies without repeating mistakes.
Ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform physically hands-on work in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately and work both independently and as part of a team.
High school diploma or GED.
Ability to complete a background check and drug screen as part of the hiring process.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Technical-school training in electrical, electronics, electromechanical, industrial maintenance, controls, telecommunications, HVAC, or a related discipline is preferred.
Recent technical-school graduates may be considered if they can demonstrate strong hands-on electrical aptitude and practical skills.
1+ year of recent experience in electrical assembly, field service, cable installation, panel wiring, electronics, manufacturing, or equipment maintenance is preferred.
Experience with low-voltage panel assembly and wire-harness building for custom or industrial equipment.
Circuit-board soldering experience, including through-hole or surface-mount components, is a plus.
Exposure to PLCs or industrial controls, including reading I/O diagrams or supporting basic controls-related tasks, is desirable.
Experience with mechanical assembly, drilling, tapping, fabrication, and basic plumbing in a production or equipment-build environment.
