Radiation Oncology is a unique space with a lot of moving parts. Our primary location is at LHCP where we have 4 treatment machines and 2 CT simulation planning machines, and we see on average over 100 patients per day. We have two regional locations, one in Holland (LAROC) and one in Reed City (SPW) which are both smaller and each has one treatment machine and one CT simulation planning machine with a much smaller daily patient volume. We have a variety of patient appointment types, we see patients for consultations, planning sessions, daily treatments, weekly appointments with the physician and nurse as well as follow-up appointments.

Corewell Health operates over 300 outpatient clinics across Michigan, bringing a multitude of care options to the communities that we serve. There are over 40 different types of primary care and specialty practices, which allows those who work in these clinics the opportunity to learn and explore various interests or to specialize in one area.

As a Medical Assistant with Corewell Health, you'll be a member of our clinical support team and work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of the best possible care. You'll be a vital part of our team, making a real difference in the lives of our patients.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• Successful completion of a hands-on competency-based medical assistant training program Required
• 1 year of relevant experience in a physician practice or healthcare setting Preferred
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Required within 90 Days
• One of the following Required within 120 Days
  • AAMA Certified Medical Assistant (CMA)
  • AMT Registered Medical Assistant (RMA)
  • NHA Certified Medical Assistant (CCMA)
  • NCCT Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA)
  • NAHP Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA)
