About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of States to take on a senior leadership role with a focus on policy advocacy, team management, and organizational change. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Vice President of States and other Vice Presidents to oversee and support State Directors in managing their teams and leading advocacy efforts. This includes ensuring alignment between state-level and national priorities, fostering collaboration, and driving impact across the organization. The role involves managing and supporting State Directors, setting and aligning goals, guiding teams in strategy development, and leading professional development and coaching efforts. The Vice President will also be responsible for strategic leadership, leading change initiatives, and building expertise in democracy and electoral policy. Applicants for the Vice President of States position at the company should have a strong commitment to the nonpartisan mission and advancing racial equity. The role requires the ability to build and maintain relationships, navigate organizational dynamics, and influence change. A background in leading successful advocacy campaigns, experience with the legislative process, and a track record of managing teams and leading change initiatives are essential. The ideal candidate will be innovative, strategic, and adept at problem-solving, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
