Press Brake Operator

Job Full Description

Shift: Monday - Thursday, 5:00am - 3:00pm
Pay Rate: $20.00/HR

Duties:

• Set up, operate, and program press brake machines with precision
• Interpret technical drawings and CAD files to accurately form sheet metal components
• Understand forming geometry and machine programming for optimal results
• Coordinate with the CAD department to maintain and update brake press program files
• Schedule machine maintenance and troubleshoot minor equipment issues as needed
• Manage brake tooling inventory to ensure availability and minimize downtime
• Perform first-piece inspections and in-process spot checks to maintain quality standards
• Accurately complete required paperwork, use the AS400 system, and create production reports
• Follow all company safety procedures and promote a clean, organized work environment

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year of experience operating a press brake (required or preferred as needed)
• Solid understanding of general shop procedures and manufacturing safety practices
• Ability to perform basic math calculations, including fractions and decimals
• Capable of color recognition per company specifications
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality control
• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills
• Physically able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs
