Registered Nurse – Medical Surgical (Float)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights | 3x12-Hour Shifts (19:00–07:00)

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care for assigned patients on the nursing unit while providing leadership within the nursing team
• Utilize the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate the plan of care for patients through a Shared Governance model
• Collaborate with all members of the healthcare team with a focus on promoting evidence-based care within a healing culture for the patient population served and their families
• Float across units as assigned, with critical care experience being a key component of this role

Required Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• Current Arkansas or Compact State RN license in good standing; license must be in-hand at time of submission
• BLS certification required — must be submitted with application
• ACLS, NIHSS certifications required — must be submitted with application
• Nursys verification required with submission
• Must live more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• BSN preferred
• Minimum of one year of nursing experience preferred; applicants without experience may be required to complete a residency program
• Critical care experience highly preferred
• Travel nursing experience highly preferred
• Experience with Cerner charting preferred
