Sr. Accountant
Location : Birmingham, AL (Onsite)


Our client is hiring a Sr. Accountant to support the organizations accounting and financial reporting functions. This role ensures accurate financial records, timely reporting, and compliance with accounting standards.


Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and post journal entries and maintain general ledger.
• Identify opportunities to automate manual accounting processes to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Participate in digital transformation initiatives, including process standardization and automation of reconciliations and reporting.
• Manage month end close processes to ensure timely reporting.
• Prepare financial statements and support schedules.
• Perform bank and account reconciliations.
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data for management reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and strengthen internal controls.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 2+ years of professional accounting experience
• Experience in a multi-entity or corporate environment
