In this position...

At Ford, we are transforming our outbound finished-vehicle logistics network to provide customers, dealers, and carriers with industry-leading, real-time transit visibility. As a member of the North American Vehicle Logistics (NAVL) Business Solutions team, you will be at the forefront of this transformation.

The NAVL Business Solutions Analyst serves as a catalyst for continuous improvement, modernization, and operational excellence across North American Vehicle Logistics. This role partners with business, IT and Vendor Partners to identify process inefficiencies, redesign business workflows, and implement technology-enabled solutions that improve performance, visibility, and user experience.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...

The position combines process improvements, project management, change management, and technology development to deliver measurable business value. The successful candidate will lead initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring solutions are adopted and sustained within the organization.

Continuous Improvement & Process Transformation

• Work cross-functionally with the NAVL Operations teams to map logistics processes, identify non-value-added steps and design business solutions that eliminate waste and drive improvements
• Define, track, and report on key logistics performance metrics including dwell time, ETA accuracy, mis-ship rates, carrier performance, and cost savings to ensure solutions are delivering expected benefits

ETA Optimization and Data Quality

• Conduct root-cause analysis on ETA calculation failures and transit-time variance; partner with data scientists and IT teams to translate these operational findings into actions that improve ETA accuracy across the vehicle delivery network
• Define data-quality metrics and monitor performance (such as milestone transmission rates, GPS pings, and latency) to ensure high-integrity data
• Apply structured problem-solving methodologies (such as Six Sigma, Kaizen, or 5-Why analysis) to address failures and define action plans for improvement

Technology Enablement & Automation

• Translate business challenges into scalable technology-enabled solutions
• Develop workflow automations, dashboards, and productivity tools to improve business operations
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI capabilities to create business value and support the long-term strategy

Technology Adoption & Change Management

• Lead change management efforts to address user feedback, deliver training, and drive seamless system and process adoption among internal operational teams, carriers, and third-party partners

Project Management

• Develop project plans, milestone tracking, risk mitigation strategies, and executive communications
• Coordinate business, IT, vendor, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful delivery of key initiatives
• Track benefits realization and project outcomes

Qualifications

You'll have...

• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent
• 3+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Logistics Operations, Data Analytics, or Process Improvement roles
• Strong quantitative skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, formulas).
  • Experience or familiarity with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau) or querying environments is highly preferred
• Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI), Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio
• Solid understanding of Lean, Continuous Improvement, or Six Sigma frameworks (specifically waste identification, root-cause analysis, and creating standard work)
• Demonstrated ability to organize tasks, manage timelines, and coordinate cross-functional milestones systematically

• Master’s Degree
• Experience working with Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) or automotive outbound transportation
• Experience managing or auditing third-party visibility/tracking platforms (e.g., Freight Verify)

This position is a salary grade 7 and ranges from $86,600-$144,900.

This position is a salary grade 8 and ranges from $99,100-$166,200.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
