Accounts Payable Location: Jackson, MI | Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM12:00 PM | Pay Rate: Starting at $20.00/hour, flexible based on experience | Employment Type: Part-Time with potential to transition to Full-Time About the Role Cardinal Staffing is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Accounts Payable professional for a reputable employer in Jackson, MI. This is an in-office accounting position responsible for processing accounts payable transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, working with vendors, and assisting with accounting and finance projects. This is not a remote position. The position will initially be part-time, with the potential to transition to full-time in the future. Key Responsibilities Review and verify invoices for proper documentation and approval before payment Sort, code, match, and enter invoices into the accounting system Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment issues Prepare and process check and electronic payment runs Reconcile vendor statements and address discrepancies Communicate with vendors and respond to inquiries Monitor accounts to ensure payments remain current Provide supporting documentation for audits Assist with additional accounting and finance projects as needed Job Requirements 12 years of Accounts Payable experience preferred Knowledge of general accounting procedures Strong data entry and records-management skills Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word Oracle experience is a plus Strong attention to detail and accuracy Excellent organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment Professional written and verbal communication skills High school diploma required; college-level accounting coursework preferred Must be able to maintain confidentiality and meet deadlines Must be available to work in-office MondayFriday Why Work with Us?
