Pediatric Speech Therapist - Home Care (1099)

Job Location Queens, NY Job Overview As a Speech Therapist with Personal Touch Home Care, you will evaluate and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them improve their communication skills and quality of life. Your work will be delivered in the comfort of patients’ homes, providing rehabilitative services to those unable to travel to a clinic or hospital. This role focuses on improving patients’ quality of life by promoting mobility, function, and independence within the home setting. In order to be considered for this position, you must have a valid and active license in the state of NY. This is a fee‑for‑service position, paid per visit, and the role is a 1099, contracted position. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs. Provide therapy to individuals of all ages, addressing articulation, fluency, voice, and language issues. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises. Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy. Qualifications Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapy college or university. Must have a valid professional license and registration for the state of practice. Experience with long‑term care and/or geriatric care is preferred but not required. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills. Prefer two (2) years of appropriate experience as an occupational therapist. Home health experience is preferred. Compensation Fee-for-service, per diem. $100 per visit.
