Staten Island, NY Job Types: Fee-for-service, 1099 contracted position, per diem Pay: $100.00 per visit Job Overview As a Speech Therapist with Personal Touch Home Care, you will evaluate and treat individuals with speech, language, and communication disorders, helping them improve their communication skills and quality of life. You will also provide rehabilitative services to patients who are unable to travel to a clinic or hospital, focusing on enhancing mobility, function, and independence within the comfort of their own homes. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive assessments of speech and language abilities. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each patient's needs. Provide therapy to individuals of all ages, addressing issues such as articulation, fluency, voice, and language. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care. Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary. Educate patients and their families about communication strategies and home exercises. Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech therapy. Qualifications Must have graduated from an accredited Speech Therapy college or university. Must have a valid professional license and registration for the state of practice. Experience with long‑term care and/or geriatric care is preferred. Demonstrates good verbal and written communication and organization skills. Prefer two (2) years of appropriate experience in related health fields; home‑health experience is preferred.
