About the Role
The Company is seeking a Head of Planning to join its dynamic Operations team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in optimizing the company's inventory performance, with a focus on leading all inventory planning and forecasting functions for a specific business portfolio. This senior role demands a strategic and hands-on approach, combining analytical rigor, and active collaboration with various internal and external teams. The Head of Planning will be responsible for forecasting and replenishment, driving optimal inventory turns, and maximizing return on investment. Success in this position is defined by the ability to work within and build best-in-class forecasting systems that align with the company's mission of delivering high-quality essentials at low prices. Applicants for the Head of Planning role at the company should have a minimum of 10 years' of experience in inventory planning, merchandising, or related analytics/technology roles, with a preference for those at the Director level. A Bachelor's degree is required, with an MBA or Master's in Supply Chain Management being a plus. The role demands a candidate with strong analytical skills, proficiency in advanced Excel, and the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external partners. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of continuous improvement, operational excellence, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment. A commitment to building scalable processes, industry-leading technology, and a strong understanding of how forecasting impacts company performance are also key qualifications for this position.
