Watertown-Mayer Public Schools is seeking a dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our team to work with our 3 year olds. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a highly recognized, play-based learning environment that focuses on individual strengths, interests, and needs of each child.

Your Role Will Include:

• Designing and leading engaging, play-based activities that spark curiosity and foster growth across literacy, math, science, social-emotional development, and physical skills.
• Creating a classroom environment where exploration thrives and every child feels safe, included, and excited to learn.
• Tracking each child's unique developmental progress through careful observation and assessment.
• Celebrating milestones with families and using insights to tailor your teaching approach.
• Maintaining accurate records and communicating growth to families.
• Partnering with families to create strong, positive relationships.
• Collaborating with colleagues and share innovative ideas to enhance our program.
• Contributing to a vibrant learning community where everyone feels valued and heard.
• Applying effective classroom management techniques to ensure a positive, respectful learning environment.
• Ensuring compliance with all licensing, health, and safety standards.
• Participating in ongoing professional learning opportunities to continuously refine your teaching craft.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in early childhood education, child development, social work, or related field.
• Genuine commitment to supporting diverse families, including those facing challenges.
• Cultural and linguistic competency, strong communication abilities, and effective classroom management techniques.
• Background in educational settings with knowledge of modern teaching tools and technology.

Salary and Benefits:

• Master Agreement. Starting at approximately $120/day
• Benefits may include health and dental insurance, life insurance, and LTD.

Location & Shift Times:

• Watertown-Mayer Community Learning Center.
• Part-time, 3 days per week.
  • M/W/F 7:30-11:30
• Other subbing opportunities available in the district
