- Performing detailed patient evaluations, ordering relevant diagnostics, and creating personalized care strategies
- Identifying and managing acute, episodic, or chronic conditions in collaboration with attending physicians or working independently (as per your credentials)
- Providing education to patients and families on preventive care, wellness strategies, and effective disease management
- Prescribing medications and therapeutic options within legal guidelines
- Engaging in patient follow-ups and managing chronic care needs
- Collaborating across various professional teams to guarantee continuity of comprehensive care
- Keeping meticulous and accurate records using electronic medical systems (EMR)
- Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Completion of an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
- Active Nurse Practitioner license in North Carolina
- National certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP-C, AANP or ANCC) or specialty equivalent
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications (or ability to attain within 90 days)
- Strong clinical skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care
- Exceptional communication abilities with patients, families, and healthcare colleagues
- Able to adapt in dynamic, patient-focused settings
- Proficient in EMR technology and comfortable with telemedicine tools
