Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care on a Med/Surg admission unit, including initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and timely documentation
- Administer medications and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for rapid admissions and disposition planning
- Communicate clearly with patients, families, and staff to ensure smooth patient flow and handoffs
- Prioritize care for general medical and surgical patients awaiting procedures, with attention to evolving clinical status
- Maintain accurate charting, perform routine RN duties, and respond to changes in patient conditions per protocol
- Adhere to unit policies for patient safety, infection control, and quality of care on a fast-paced assignment

Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license; Nursys license verification preferred
- Certification card (e.g., BLS) required
- Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg RN experience
- Ability to work independently and communicate effectively in a fast-paced admission unit
- Experience in a high-turnover setting with general medical and surgical patients
- Candidates should be prepared to work nights on a 2x3 schedule and to load all demographic information into the profile, including a badge-appropriate photo
- Education: Nursing degree (RN) from an accredited program
