Estimator Position A growing mechanical contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to support commercial HVAC and plumbing projects, with a stronger focus on HVAC systems. The company specializes in design-build delivery across complex commercial environments including life science, labs, and advanced facilities. This role is responsible for managing estimates from early design through final bid, working closely with engineering, operations, and leadership. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial HVAC and plumbing projects Perform material and labor takeoffs from drawings and specifications Support design-build estimating from conceptual through final pricingReview plans, specs, and scope to identify risks and gaps Work closely with engineers and internal teams on system design and pricing Solicit and level subcontractor and vendor quotes Develop proposals, budgets, and scope clarifications Use Bluebeam and estimating tools for takeoffs and documentation Coordinate with project teams for smooth handoff to operations Project Types Life science and laboratory facilities Commercial and institutional buildings Advanced technology and specialized environments Design-build HVAC and mechanical systems Requirements 37+ years of experience in mechanical estimating (HVAC preferred) Experience with commercial HVAC systems required Plumbing experience is a plus Experience in design-build environments strongly preferred Familiarity with Revit and Bluebeam Strong understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and labor Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specs Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple bids Compensation & Benefits Partial ESOP participation Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) Paid holidays and PTO Long-term growth within a design-build mechanical contractor #J-18808-Ljbffr RIMEPRO INC
