Physician or Medicine PhD for LLM Research

Role Overview

Medical experts apply clinical and research knowledge to help advance AI systems in specialized areas of medicine. This remote, asynchronous work includes developing domain-specific prompts, evaluating large language model responses, researching topics of interest with AI assistance, and building new skills while contributing to AI work across disciplines.

Qualifications

• Hold an M.D., D.O., or PhD in Medicine from a U.S. institution.
• Be able to collaborate asynchronously with leading AI labs.
• Have expertise that exceeds current AI systems in understanding and explaining core concepts in your field.
• Be prepared to complete tasks that test leading AI models'' scientific and language understanding. Project cohorts are selected for relevant disciplinary and research expertise.

Work Terms

• Remote, independent, and primarily asynchronous work.
• Flexible hours with no minimum hourly commitment.
• Project opportunities run throughout the year, but assignment depends on availability within your domain.

Compensation

Up to $125/hr (depending on the project).

Eligibility

F-1 students eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Confirm eligibility with your Designated School Official. If your school requires a CPT course, this work may not satisfy that requirement. STEM OPT is not supported.
