Dietitian

Job Summary: The registered dietitian (RD) 1, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide general nutrition care that is integrated with overall goals of care for adult and/or pediatric patients at risk for nutrition problems in inpatient and outpatient settings. The RD in this classification works in inpatient or outpatient pediatric and adult settings to provide nutrition care for patients with a wide range of clinical problems. Primary responsibilities include nutrition assessment, nutrition diagnosis, nutrition intervention and evaluating clinical outcomes; coordination of daily work for dietetic technician(s) (DTR) assigned to area; participation in compliance, department projects, and quality performance improvement efforts; active involvement on interdisciplinary teams and committees; and contributions to the supervision of dietetic interns, and teaching assigned classes.
