Job Description
Exciting Opportunity for Medical Surgical Nurses!

Job Description:


- Shift: Nights, 4x12 hr shifts, 48 hrs/week (36 hr option).
- Holiday Rotation: Work during 1-2 of the three upcoming Winter holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year.
- No Call Required.
- Unit Information:
- Bed Size: 30
- Nurse to Patient Ratio: 1:4-5
- Patient Types: Hip/Knee, Mastectomies, Abdominal Surgeries
- Drips: PCA, Heparin
- Supportive Environment: Emotional support canine on the unit.
- Orientation Dates: 10/26, 11/9, 11/23, 12/7.

Submission Requirements:


- Experience: 24 months of current MS/Medical Surgical experience in a hospital or medical center.
- Post-op surgical experience highly preferred.
- Patient care experience in hip/knee, mastectomies, and abdominal surgeries is a plus.
- Skills:
- PCA and Heparin experience required.
- Experience with EPIC EMR/electronic medical record is mandatory.
- Profile Requirements:
- Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate at time of submission.
- Work history/resume must reflect the above experience.
- Professional references from supervisors or managers within the last 24 months are preferred.
- Driver's License required.
- AHA/ARC BLS certification is mandatory.
