Grants Manager

Scion Nonprofit Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a Grants Manager for a respected, mission-driven nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing community health initiatives and strengthening partnerships across the Pacific Northwest. This is a hybrid temporary opportunity based in the Portland, Oregon area , anticipated to last approximately two months , supporting a team during a critical staffing transition.

POSITION OVERVIEW:


This temporary Grants Manager will provide immediate support overseeing federal grant administration, compliance, proposal development, and post-award activities during a period of increased organizational need. Working closely with program leadership and finance, this individual will help ensure timely grant submissions, ongoing compliance, and successful coordination across multiple funding sources. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced grants professional looking to make an immediate impact within a collaborative, mission-focused nonprofit environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage federal grant administration activities, including proposal development, compliance, reporting, and post-award support.
• Coordinate grant submissions, monitor deadlines, and ensure adherence to funding agency requirements.
• Provide technical assistance to internal stakeholders regarding grant development, budgeting, and reporting.
• Research funding opportunities and prepare competitive grant proposals and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with finance, program leadership, and external partners to support successful grant implementation.
• Maintain organized grant records, reporting calendars, and documentation while supporting continuous process improvements.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Demonstrated experience managing federal grants, including compliance, proposal development, submissions, and post-award administration.
• Strong technical writing, editing, proofreading, and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
• Experience interpreting funding announcements and working with federal grant systems and reporting platforms.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Collaborative communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships across internal teams and external partners.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• $35.00-$44.00 per hour , depending on experience.
• Approximately two-month temporary assignment .
• Full-time schedule (40 hours per week).
• Hybrid work environment in the Portland, Oregon area.
