Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Special Education required
- Active Connecticut Special Education Teaching License
- Prior experience with high school students preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Ability to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Responsibilities:
- Provide specialized instruction and support for high school students with varying needs
- Develop and modify individualized lesson plans to promote student success
- Collaborate with general education teachers, aides, and related service providers
- Communicate regularly with families regarding student progress
- Maintain thorough records in compliance with all local, state, and federal guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and help set achievable goals for each student
- Adapt teaching strategies and utilize resources to accommodate diverse learning styles
This full-time position offers a stable weekday schedule, working five days per week with varying caseloads. The specific number of students assigned may differ, ensuring you can deliver personalized attention and support.
