Job Title Systems Engineer | IoT Platform | AWS IoT Location San Jose, CA 95134 (Hybrid) Duration 6 Months Contract Job Description We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer | IoT Platform | AWS IoT to support enterprise cloud and IoT platform initiatives. The Systems Engineer will be responsible for architecting, deploying, automating, and maintaining cloud-native infrastructure and IoT platform environments while ensuring scalability, reliability, and operational excellence. The Systems Engineer will work closely with cloud architects, DevOps engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to build modern infrastructure solutions leveraging AWS, GCP, container orchestration, automation, and AI technologies. The ideal Systems Engineer will possess strong expertise in cloud architecture, infrastructure automation, Kubernetes ecosystems, and AI-enabled engineering practices. Key Responsibilities: Cloud Architecture & Infrastructure Design, implement, and maintain AWS and GCP cloud environments. Architect scalable and secure cloud infrastructure solutions. Support enterprise IoT platform deployments and integrations. Ensure cloud environments follow security, compliance, and operational best practices. Optimize infrastructure performance, availability, and scalability. Infrastructure as Code (IaC) Develop and manage Infrastructure as Code solutions. Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration management. Build reusable infrastructure templates and deployment frameworks. Maintain cloud resource consistency across multiple environments. Support infrastructure lifecycle management and automation. DevOps & CI/CD Design and implement Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. Automate application deployment and infrastructure delivery processes. Support DevOps best practices and release management activities. Improve deployment reliability and operational efficiency. Collaborate with development teams to streamline software delivery. Containerization & Platform Engineering Deploy and manage containerized workloads. Support Kubernetes-based orchestration platforms. Administer and optimize: Kubernetes Amazon EKS Docker OpenShift Implement scalable microservices and container platform architectures. Monitor and optimize cluster performance. Monitoring, Logging & Observability Implement enterprise monitoring and logging solutions. Manage Elastic and ELK Stack environments. Configure centralized logging, metrics collection, and alerting. Support observability initiatives for cloud and platform services. Troubleshoot infrastructure and application performance issues. AI Tools & Automation Develop and integrate AI tools and intelligent automation solutions. Support AI agent development and deployment initiatives. Leverage AI technologies to improve operational efficiency and platform management. Collaborate with engineering teams on AI-driven innovation projects. Configuration Management & Automation Utilize automation and configuration management tools including: Terraform Ansible Shell Scripting Automate infrastructure deployment and operational workflows. Maintain infrastructure consistency across environments. Support disaster recovery and operational readiness initiatives. Required Skills & Experience 8-10 years of experience in Systems Engineering, Cloud Engineering, DevOps Engineering, Platform Engineering, or related technical disciplines. Proven experience designing and managing enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure and IoT platform environments. Strong experience with cloud architecture, automation, and container technologies.
