ACLS BLS ENPC TNCC NIHSS Description: This is a contract position for an RN in the Emergency Room. The duration of the contract is 13 weeks. The shift is from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM. No on-call is required for this role. The emergency department has a total of 48 private rooms and 27 hallway stretchers. There are also 9 fast track spaces and 5 behavioral health rooms. The department staff consists of 111 individuals including day shift charge nurses and support staff. Patient ratios are typically 1:4 in the emergency department, 1:5 in behavioral health, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma cases. Common equipment used includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 Rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Candidates should have experience with trauma and inpatient care. Preferred qualifications include experience with Meditech. Typical procedures performed include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, and airway support. Behavioral health de-escalation techniques and knowledge of resuscitation practices are also pertinent. The ideal candidate should be a multitasker, a team player, and a self-starter. The dress code requires navy blue scrubs. All candidates must adhere to established policies and guidelines.
