Sales Manager IN Training

Job Description The Whitaker Agencies is seeking a motivated, coachable, and driven individual for our Manager in Training program in Atlanta, GA. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to build a long-term career in leadership and business management. No prior insurance experience is required. Through hands‑on training, mentorship, and professional development, you’ll learn every aspect of our business—from client service and sales to recruiting, coaching, and team leadership. Our Manager in Training program is designed to prepare high‑performing individuals for leadership opportunities within our growing organization. Responsibilities Learn all aspects of the agency’s sales, service, and leadership operations. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while providing exceptional customer service. Educate individuals, families, and businesses on available insurance and supplemental benefit programs. Recruit, interview, and identify potential future team members. Assist in onboarding and training new agents through mentorship and field coaching. Develop leadership skills by helping motivate, coach, and support a growing sales team. Monitor individual and team performance while working toward established goals. Learn business planning, territory management, and agency operations. Participate in daily meetings, leadership development sessions, and ongoing training. Maintain accurate client records and activity reports. Stay informed on industry regulations, product knowledge, and company initiatives. Lead by example through professionalism, accountability, and a strong work ethic. Qualifications Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Self-motivated with a desire to grow into a leadership position. Positive attitude and willingness to learn. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment. Previous sales, customer service, management, athletics, military, or leadership experience is a plus, but not required. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
