Occupational Therapist, Acute Care | Hilo, Hawaii | Start date 10/05/2026 | 26 weeks | $2,253–$2,418 per week | Guaranteed Hours: 0.0 | Shift: Days, Mon-Fri 7:30 am–4:00 pm | Hospital-based travel assignment

Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in inpatient and outpatient settings; plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic program as prescribed by the ordering physician
- Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs; independently manage a full caseload and monitor progress
- Determine appropriate timing for re-evaluations based on medical authorization and patient needs
- Collaborate with the rehab team, document care in the EMR systems Net Health Therapy and Meditech, and communicate updates to the care team
- Provide patient and family education, discharge planning, and follow-up recommendations; support holidays and operational needs as required
- Maintain compliance with facility policies and Hawaii state regulations; participate in patient care rounds and interdisciplinary team discussions

Requirements
- Hawaii state OT license by start date; traveler must apply if not currently in possession of an active HI license and have Hawaii licensure by start of assignment
- BLS certification from the American Red Cross
- Minimum 2 years of work experience with adults in outpatient and acute care settings
- Proficiency with EMR systems Net Health Therapy and Meditech
- Ability to work in a hospital rehab environment and to support holiday coverage as needed
- Must be able to participate in the on-boarding process, including arriving the Thursday prior to start for employee health clearance
