Math Teacher

Duties (include but are not limited to): • Demonstrates knowledge of subject(s) through instructional practices • Familiarity with Common Core curriculum standards • Ability to teach to a wide range of ability levels and learning styles • Knowledge in Basic Math through Pre-Calculus • Guide the learning process toward the achievement of learning goals • Use assessment information to provide students with feedback, which is corrective and informative • Establish and maintain standards of student behavior conducive to an effective learning environment • Develop written lesson plans in advance • Direct and supervise the work of paraprofessionals, volunteers and student teachers assigned to the classroom • Maintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning both the academic and social progress of all students • Implement administrative directives in a professional manner (re: new programs and policies) • Adhere to all District policies and regulations
