Requisition ID : 19550 Employment Type : Full Time Job Category : Accounting/Finance Work Location : Holtsville, NY (OEM BU) DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare and Review Federal and State corporate income tax returns Leads and develops Tax Staff in accurate and timely accounting and tax reporting Review and analyze financial data used to develop tax adjustments for Federal/State tax returns. Utilize critical thinking skills to understand business changes and apply related tax concepts and requirements to the company's tax reporting processes Assist in preparation of estimated tax calculations, payments, extensions, ASC 740. Ensures that organization complies with periodic tax payment, information reporting, and other taxing authority requirements. Assists in IRS and State tax audits, including income, excise, sales & use and property tax Research tax implications of any operational or business structure changes in the organization. Use of tax software, including Insource and SAP, to facilitate tax filings Fosters MSC Culture in the department and throughout the company to ensure unity of vision and fulfillment of MSC Mission. Participates in special projects and performs additional duties as required. EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE: A Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or the equivalent is required. Minimum of four years Federal and State tax preparation and accounting experience is preferred. CPA a plus SKILLS: Knowledge of State, Federal, and local tax laws and regulations is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, SAP, JDE, Hyperion and other accounting and tax software and the ability to analyze and interpret data for the creation of tax documents preferred. Good oral and written communications skills are also required Compensation starting at 61,880.00 - $94,470.38 depending on candidate location and experience. The salary range represented is based on similar roles in comparable industries, and the cost of labor in respective cities. Actual compensation is based on the candidate's relevant experience, education requirements and peer pay equity. The Company reserves the right to modify the range as market conditions change.
