Position : Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA)

Location: Charlotte, NC — Hybrid, 3 days onsite per week
Duration: 12-month contract with potential extension up to 2 years
Work Authorization: W2 candidates; OPT candidates may be considered
Relocation: Open to qualified candidates willing to relocate to Charlotte

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator (Oracle DBA) with strong Oracle GoldenGate and database performance-tuning experience to support mission-critical database platforms within a large financial-services environment.

The DBA will be responsible for maintaining database availability, performance, security, backup/recovery, replication, disaster recovery, and overall database health. The role will involve supporting complex enterprise Oracle environments and troubleshooting production issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Administer and support large-scale Oracle database environments.
• Monitor database health, availability, capacity, and performance.
• Troubleshoot complex database and replication issues in production environments.
• Perform SQL and database performance tuning.
• Analyze database performance using AWR and ASH.
• Administer and troubleshoot Oracle GoldenGate replication environments.
• Support both GoldenGate Classic and Microservices Architecture environments.
• Support Oracle RAC, ASM, Data Guard, Exadata, and RMAN.
• Perform database backup, recovery, and disaster recovery activities.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) for database, Exadata, and replication incidents.
• Support high availability, business continuity, and recovery testing.
• Implement database security, auditing, encryption, and access controls.
• Support privileged-access management solutions such as CyberArk.
• Assist with vulnerability remediation, database hardening, and audit activities.
• Develop automation using Shell scripting, Python, Ansible, or similar technologies.
• Improve operational efficiency through monitoring and automation.
• Maintain database documentation, procedures, standards, and governance controls.
• Participate in production incident management and on-call support rotations.
• Work with application and infrastructure teams to resolve database-related issues.

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on Oracle Database Administration experience in large enterprise environments.
• Strong experience with Oracle GoldenGate .
• Strong SQL performance-tuning experience.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database 19c and/or newer Oracle versions.
• Experience with Oracle RAC.
• Experience with Oracle ASM.
• Experience with Oracle Data Guard.
• Experience with RMAN backup and recovery.
• Experience with Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM).
• Experience with Oracle Exadata.
• Strong GoldenGate replication monitoring and troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with GoldenGate performance optimization.
• Experience with database migration and replication solutions.
• Strong AWR/ASH analysis and query optimization skills.
• Strong production troubleshooting and incident-resolution experience.
• Hands-on experience with Toad and/or Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• Strong scripting/automation skills.

Work Environment

This is a fast-paced enterprise environment supporting mission-critical systems. The position requires 3 days onsite per week in Charlotte, NC and participation in an on-call rotation, which may occasionally include nights or weekends.
