KBR is looking for a highly self-motivated Mechanical Engineering graduate to design and document modifications for multiple US DoD Customers in a fast-paced environment. The selected candidate will, under supervision, create mechanical designs, drawings, and applicable Mechanical Engineering documentation to support multiple aircraft.Roles and ResponsibilitiesUnder direct supervision, independently evaluates, selects, and applies standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria, using judgment in making minor adaptations and modifications.Assists more senior Mechanical Engineers in the design of larger and more complex design tasks which involve conventional types of plans, investigations and surveys with relatively few complex features.Assists more senior Mechanical Engineers in the performance of on-site Engineering Surveys of customer aircraftUnder direct supervision, supports installations of new and modified equipment onto existing customer aircraftBasic QualificationsA Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering from an accredited degree program0 to 3 years experience designing and documenting Mechanical SystemsExisting SECRET clearance, or ability to obtain a SECRET clearance, is requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience with Solid WorksAbility to read and interpret typical Mechanical Engineering documentation (i.e. mechanical drawings, weight and balance reports, structural loads analyses, etc.)Proficient with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and ExcelAbility to read and apply Military, ASME, ASE Specifications as they relate to Mechanical DesignKnowledge of GD&T practices and applicationExperience PDM or other PLM toolsExperience with US Army aviationAt KBR, we are passionate about our people and our Zero Harm culture.
