Private Equity Associate, Power & Renewables

The Opportunity:
We are partnering with a mid-market private equity fund focused on making buyout and growth equity investments across power, renewable energy, energy transition, and the related supply chain. They are looking to hire an Associate for their deal team due to their current levels of dry powder and deal flow. This is an opportunity to join a lean, entrepreneurial team with high growth potential.
Responsibilities:
- Support all aspects of deal execution including financial modeling, deal structuring, documentation, valuation, and due diligence
- Conduct sector and market research to stay on top of emerging trends
- Prepare materials such as IC memos and presentations
- Assist in the ongoing management of portfolio companies
Qualifications:
- 1-3 years of Investment Banking or Private Equity experience with a focus on power, renewables, utilities, energy transition, or related sectors
- Strong experience with financial modeling and valuation
- Experience creating marketing materials and presentations
- Ability to work in a small, lean team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
