A busy retail pharmacy in Mount Sterling, Kentucky seeks a full-time Staff Pharmacist to contribute to a fast-paced environment supported by a skilled pharmacy team. This role offers the opportunity to utilize your retail pharmacy expertise and deliver excellent patient care while working alongside dedicated professionals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verify prescriptions ensuring accuracy and safety
• Provide patient counseling and address medication-related inquiries
• Supervise pharmacy workflow and technician activities
• Utilize PioneerRx system for prescription processing and management
• Maintain compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations
• Support daily operations in a high-volume setting averaging approximately 3,000 prescriptions per week
• Deliver outstanding customer service to patients and team members
• Assist with Saturday pharmacy coverage as scheduled (1 to 2 times per month)

Desired Qualifications:

• Active pharmacist license in good standing, licensed in Kentucky
• Recent retail pharmacy experience preferred
• Familiarity with PioneerRx is an advantage
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Capability to work independently and collaboratively
• Flexibility to work four weekdays (9:00 AM to 6:00 PM) and occasional Saturdays (9:00 AM to 2:00 PM)

Work Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM (four weekdays per week)
• Saturday coverage: 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, typically 1 to 2 Saturdays monthly

Staffing and Environment:

• Weekday coverage includes 2 pharmacists and 5 to 6 pharmacy technicians
• Saturday coverage includes 1 pharmacist and 3 to 4 pharmacy technicians
• Pharmacy volume is approximately 3,000 prescriptions weekly
