For more information about joining our team, please visit us at Brief Overview of Position The Deposit Operations Specialist role is critical to the efficient functioning of the department, with key responsibilities that directly impact the bank’s compliance, risk management, and operational efficiency. This position is responsible for handling sensitive financial data and processing essential tasks such as closing accounts due to fraud or bank errors, regulatory audits, and funds movement, Refunds, Dormant Account removals, Stop payments, all of which require a high level of accuracy, confidentiality, and regulatory adherence. Due to the sensitive nature of the responsibilities associated with this role, which involve handling customers’ personally identifiable information (PII) and financial transactions, it is imperative that this position remains onshore. The risk associated with outsourcing these duties offshore could lead to potential data security concerns, compliance violations, and operational inefficiencies that could negatively impact the bank’s reputation and regulatory standing. Responsibilities Daily processing of refunds requiring money movements, ensuring compliance with guidelines and regulatory requirements. Audit responsibilities that are subject to strict regulatory oversight. Processing Stop Payment requests Dormant account removals Credit Card rebates, and transaction monitoring, which require keen attention to detail and adherence to regulatory guidelines. Qualifications Minimum three years of bank operations experience. Tax reporting experience preferred, but not required. Good knowledge of wire transfer functions, ACH processing and NACHA rules/regulations. Proficiency in the use of PC software tools for reports, audits, and analysis, including knowledge of automated wire transfer software, Fiserv products and Cash Management software. Strong attention to detail and excellent customer service skills. Ability to establish positive working relationships and collaboration across the organization. Proven skills to handle multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment to ensure that deadlines are met. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Requires minimal supervision. Other duties as assigned.
