The Plant Operations Mechanic III Plumber will perform all necessary functions in the operation, preventive maintenance and repairs of buildings and equipment in a variety of tasks, including, but not limited to plumbing systems. Demonstrate behaviors supporting Sibley Memorial Hospital's mission to deliver excellent and compassionate care every patient, every time. Minimum Requirements High school diploma or G.E.D. Minimum of three (3) years of experience in the field of plumbing. Prefer experience in a hospital setting. Skills And Abilities Ability to effectively communicate verbally (in English) and document (in written English) all daily activities associated with the safe operation and maintenance of assigned equipment. Knowledge of small tools and safe handling practices associated with repair and maintenance of assigned equipment. Ability to work with little or no supervision. Knowledge and ability to handle any and all emergency situations and equipment breakdown, malfunction or failure. Must be able to effectively reach all maintenance equipment in case of an emergency and for day-to-day repair and maintenance. Must be able to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, control circuits, and drawings as related to assigned areas. Salary Range: Minimum /hour - Maximum /hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
