Charge Nurse RN - Long Term Care

We are seeking a dedicated Charge Nurse RN to join our Long Term Care team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing general nursing care to residents, adhering to their care plans, and ensuring compliance with facility policies and professional standards. You will also supervise Nursing Assistants, ensuring high standards of care and a supportive environment for both residents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments of residents' health status and make informed nursing diagnoses.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans based on assessments and diagnoses.
• Facilitate outside physician visits to meet residents' medical needs.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and family members regarding residents' care.
• Provide education to residents, families, and staff about care plans and nursing interventions.
• Administer and chart both routine and emergency medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Document accurately to ensure continuity and quality of resident care.
• Implement safety and infection control procedures to maintain a safe environment.
• Act as the primary contact person on the assigned shift, ensuring smooth operations.
• Supervise nursing assistants to ensure adherence to the care plan.
• Demonstrate proficiency in IV therapy, including initiating IVs and managing medications.

Schedule

This position requires varied day and evening shifts.
