ABOUT A PLACE CALLED HOME

At A Place Called Home (or "APCH"), our mission is to inspire, encourage, and support the young people in South Central Los Angeles to achieve social, emotional, and economic success.

APCH is a dynamic, multi-service youth and community center serving South Central youth and their families. Since 1993, we've been dedicated to creating a safe, nurturing environment where young people can thrive, regardless of their zip code.

SHARE A HELPING HAND!

On Sat., June 13, APCH's Corks & Community fundraiser will be an afternoon of great music, mouth-watering food, and amazing drinks. All event proceeds will benefit A Place Called Home.

APCH is seeking volunteers to help make this event a success. Join us to support a great cause: providing underserved youth in South LA with the resources they need for lifelong success.

Event Date/Times: Sat., 6/13

Volunteers are welcome to combine shifts!

- Event Setup Shift: 9:00 AM-11:00 AM (seeking 5 volunteers)
- Event Facilitation Shift: 11:00 AM-4:00 PM (seeking 8 volunteers)
- Event Cleanup Shift: 3:45 PM-5:30 PM (seeking 5 volunteers)
Location: American Institute of Architects (4450 W Adams Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90016)
Volunteer Role Overview: Supporting event setup, facilitation (including food/beverage service and bussing) and breakdown
Age Requirement: Volunteer must be 21 years or older
Please Note: Role will include moving, bending, walking, light-medium lifting and extended periods of standing. Please let the APCH team know if there is anything we can do to make this project more comfortable for you.
