Position Overview

• In support of a new program, establish, review, and oversee new G/L architecture and posting protocols, controls, and processes
• Design and modify G/L reports for standardization and routine use
• Document procedures for compliance reviews
• Provide workforce support to address questions from use of new program's established G/L and document type architecture via a service portal
• Monitor and provide accounting model testing support, guidance, and recommendations
• Provide support to month-end and year-end closing procedures to ensure program reconciliation is complete and accurately reported
• Analyze and validate miscellaneous receipt balances
• Analyze transactions for mismatched entries, cash transfers and cancelling fund transactions to include coordinating with workforce users to process corrective transactions
• Identify trends and issues that require workforce education, additional controls, or necessary updates to procedures and processes
• Assess accuracy of new architecture and accounting models and offer updates as applicable
• Evaluate financial data and processes of new accounting model and associated transactions in the financial system-of-record
• Apply advanced MS Excel skills to manage existing financial tools and support Power BI visualization products and requirements
• Pull various reports together to generate trends and highlight problem areas
• Demonstrate expertise in MS Power BI, Power Query, and Excel VBA/macros for data extraction, transformation and visualization; demonstrated ability to design and maintain automated financial dashboards and reports for senior leadership
• Role requires mastery knowledge and ability to apply regulations
• Provide support to test and evaluate system interfaces with Sponsor systems and related impacts to financial G/L posting and reporting
• Coordinate day-to-day accounting and financial activities including month-end and year-end close activities associated with cash accounts and responding to inquiries from POCs
• Analyze financial information from various sources to identify and resolve discrepancies and to ensure data integrity is maintained. Refer highly complex issues to senior level.
• Maintain relationships across systems in conjunction with office stakeholders
• Download and transfer transactions for reconciliation
• Compare balances across systems ensuring all reconciliations are identified and completed
• Fund cash accounts
• Perform analysis on G/L postings to validate accounting models and processes and coordinate with POCs for necessary changes
• Provide support and enhancements to current check-and-balance tools and processes
• Seek new areas of automation, using complex MS Excel macros or data science innovation. Support existing Power BI visualization tools and offer other areas for enhanced visualization opportunities
• Conduct cash account reviews, validating and communicating with transaction owners to ensure cash is posted accurately across applicable G/Ls and in accordance with regulations
• Ensure cash transactions do not negatively affect accounts and that the processes are not generating mismatches
• Demonstrate familiarity in MS Power BI, Power Query, and Excel VBA/macros for data extraction, transformation, and visualization; demonstrated ability to design and maintain automated financial dashboards and reports for senior leadership
• Requires familiarity in SQL to write queries to support MS Power Query/Power BI data sources and to validate data integrity across disparate systems
• Develop and maintain MS Power BI dashboards that display G/L balances and reporting trends
• Maintain cash flow profiles
• Role requires demonstrated knowledge and ability to apply regulations

Additional Details

Fusion Innovation anticipates the annual base salary for this position will generally range from $100,000 to $215,000. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors, including, but not limited to:

• Relevant education, certifications, and training
• Years of direct applicable experience with this work and the customer
• Contract labor category requirements, skill level, contract bill rate, and hours allocation
• Alignment with the position's responsibilities
• Additional specialized skills
