Phlebotomist Floater - 1st Shift

Job Title: Phlebotomist III - Float

Location: Circleville
Duration: 3+ Months
Shift: Variable shifts between 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM (8-hour shifts only)

Job Summary

The Phlebotomist III - Float is responsible for collecting blood samples, preparing specimens for laboratory testing, and providing excellent patient care across multiple locations. This role supports patient service centers, clinics, and other healthcare settings while ensuring accuracy, safety, and confidentiality. The position may also assist with training new staff and acting as a resource for team members.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood collections on pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Prepare and label specimens accurately for lab testing
• Travel between multiple sites as needed
• Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver strong customer service
• Support onboarding and mentoring of new staff when required
• Handle high-volume workflows and multiple priorities efficiently

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years of phlebotomy experience required
• Experience with pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections required
• Prior PSC/IOP experience preferred
• Strong data entry and customer service skills
• Any phlebotomy certification required (preferred where applicable)
• Medical assistant or paramedic training preferred
