Safety Manager

Title: Safety Manager Location: Tijeras NM Salary: $105k-$125k Bonus: 10% Relocation Package: Yes Industry: Mining / Aggregates What You Will Do: Reporting to the Safety Director and working closely with plant leadership, this role serves as the on‑site safety expert responsible for driving a strong safety culture, reducing risk, and ensuring regulatory compliance. You’ll work directly with employees in the field, provide coaching, and support continuous improvement in safety performance. Key Responsibilities Serve as the subject matter expert for safety programs, regulatory interpretation, and policy development Lead and support initiatives that reduce serious injury and fatality exposure Manage compliance with safety standards and oversee field verification of critical controls Deliver new‑hire orientations, monthly safety meetings, and ongoing training Monitor adherence to safety procedures and report gaps to leadership Coordinate communication of safety information across the site Partner with management to establish safety goals, metrics, and improvement plans Support incident prevention efforts and collaborate with cross‑functional teams Participate in and help lead the site Safety Committee Maintain a strong presence in the field, building relationships and reinforcing safe work practices Experience Needed Bachelor’s degree preferred 4+ years of experience leading safety programs in a heavy industrial or mining environment 2+ years of MSHA‑related experience strongly preferred Training or experience in dust/silica and noise sampling is a plus Minimal travel required, with occasional visits to other sites as needed Benefits We offer competitive benefits, including paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, disability plans, and a 401(k). #J-18808-Ljbffr Greenlight Resources
