Job DescriptionInova Mount Vernon Hospital is looking for a dedicated Perioperative Support Equipment Coordinator to join the team. To help achieve our mission, this role communicates effectively and work cooperatively with others, and maintains respect for and an understanding of other clinical disciplines.Provides equipment support for operating room staff and surgeons before/during the operative procedures to avoid procedure and turnover delays.This role is technologically inclined as Operating Room equipment can be more challenging and complex.Troubleshoots operational problems with equipment during set up and operation. Disassembles, cleans, and assembles equipment in accordance with department, vendor, biomed and infection control policies, and procedures.Supports additional projects and duties as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:Education: High School or GEDExperience: Two years of OR hospital experience to include at least one year of surgical equipment experienceCertification: Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association required within 3 monthsAbout UsWe are Inova, Northern Virginia's leading nonprofit healthcare provider.
