Location: Utica, NY
Shift: Evenings | 10:30 AM – 11:00 PM (3x12-Hour Shifts)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Position Type: Travel & Local (Local Rate Applies)

Join a fast-paced, high-acuity Emergency Department providing care to patients of all ages. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced ED RNs with strong critical care skills and prior travel experience.

Must Have Requirements

• Active NY RN License
• Minimum 3+ years of recent Emergency Department experience
• Some Pediatric ED experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• EPIC charting experience required
• Charge Nurse experience highly preferred

Required Certifications

• AHA BLS
• AHA ACLS
• AHA PALS
• NIHSS
• TNCC (Required)

Unit Highlights

• 64-bed Emergency Department
• Patient population includes Newborn, Pediatric, Adult, and Geriatric
• Floating required as needed
• Navy blue scrubs

Common Patient Diagnoses

• Stroke
• Sepsis
• Trauma
• Myocardial Infarction (MI)
• Cardiac Arrest
• Respiratory Failure

Clinical Skills Required

• Management of critically ill emergency patients
• Trauma and stroke care
• Cardiac emergency management
• Administration of vasoactive medications and emergency drips including:
  • Levophed
  • Neosynephrine (Neo)
  • Epinephrine
  • Vasopressin
  • Dobutamine
  • Dopamine
  • Cardene
  • Cleviprex
  • Nitroglycerin
  • Cardizem
  • Amiodarone
  • Lidocaine
  • Precedex
  • Propofol
  • Fentanyl
