Forklift Operator

Location: Baytown, TX
Pay: $18.00-$20 per hour, depending on experience
Schedule: MondayFriday, 8:00 AM5:00 PM; must be comfortable working overtime and weekends

Openwork, formerly Meador Staffing, has partnered with a local logistics company to bring 3 Forklift Operators to their team!

Job Responsibilities

Operate forklifts and pallet jacks to transport materials throughout the warehouse
Perform shipping and receiving tasks, ensuring accurate documentation of incoming and outgoing shipments
Utilize RF scanners for inventory management and order-picking processes
Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work environment
Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and meet production goals
Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy machinery
Perform additional warehouse and material-handling duties as needed

Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to bend, push, pull, stretch, stoop, squat, and grab
Ability to walk and sit for extended periods
Must be comfortable performing physical warehouse duties throughout the workday

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED
2+ years of forklift experience
Must be able to successfully pass a forklift test
Reach truck experience is a plus, but not required
Must be comfortable working overtime and weekends
Strong commitment to workplace safety and following established procedures
