Position: Junior Collateral Analyst

Location: Parsippany, NJ

Work Model: In-Office (minimum 3 days per week, with opportunity for up to 40 hours)

Compensation: $16/hour (24-40 hours per week, temporary assignment)

Schedule: 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM


Overview:
Our client is hiring a Junior Collateral Analyst to support their post-closing operations team. This is a temporary opportunity ideal for someone detail-oriented who enjoys working with documents, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the loan process behind the scenes.


Responsibilities:

• Retrieve and log incoming mail and deliveries, separating funded and unfunded loans
• Review collateral documents including Notes, Endorsements, and Security Instruments for accuracy and completeness
• Identify and communicate discrepancies, and work with internal teams to resolve issues
• Prepare shipping manifests and coordinate collateral delivery to warehouse banks
• Update systems of record with accurate and timely information
• Track and follow up on missing or suspended collateral documents
• Confirm receipt of collateral with warehouse banks to support loan funding
• Assist with projects related to collateral management and post-closing operations

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Ability to read and understand regulatory and investor requirements
• Strong attention to detail and ability to identify document discrepancies
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Professional and adaptable communication style
